Play against other users

This is by far the most fun!

There are many ways you can challenge someone else with a mobile phone:

  • You know the i-mail address of another mobile user
  • You challenge someone who is on the challenge list of our portal
  • You yourself have been challenged by another w-chess member
  • You registered for one of our tournaments or other events.

You can opt to:

  • play official games that impact your rating and that have time constraints on moves
  • play unofficial games that are unrated and without constraints.

You can play an unlimited number of games in parallel against other players, however, to help with keeping the overview we have set the maximum to 8 for the time being.

When you are not on-line, you will receive a message for every game in which your opponent has made his move. Especially when games take days or weeks, this tells you which games await your move. The message contains a link to the game and clicking it immediately shows you the game. But watch it: in official games this is when your click starts ticking!

While playing you can send your opponent a message, such as "good move!" or "have a nice game". Our webserver translates these messages into the language of your opponent. We start with English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish.
